Who We Are...
Biblically Based
Since we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, we are committed to follow its teachings. We evaluate all of our programs and policies in light of the Scriptures. We try to conduct ourselves according to biblical principles and look to the Bible in making all ministry decisions.
Leadership by Elders
Instead of being governed by a denomination, we look to an elected group of elders for spiritual leadership because we see this pattern in Scripture. While the pastors are members of this group, they do not govern it. The elders equally share the authority and the responsibility of leading our church. We try to cultivate leadership from within our church body, encouraging mature members to become leaders and teachers.
Family Oriented
We are a family-focused church. Therefore, we provide programs for all ages. We also view our church membership as an extended family. We have a concern for each other that reaches beyond bloodlines. We try to provide an atmosphere in which people are able to develop meaningful relationships. In this way, we can encourage, strengthen and care for one another. We can also create a network of believers who will be able to reach out to the community.
Missions Minded
We feel called to proclaim Jesus both locally and worldwide. We want to help other Christians start churches and teach believers in all parts of the world. We get involved in other ministries by supporting them in prayer and with finances. In light of our material blessing, we feel a special need to give generously toward missions. We are also interested in involving our own members in short-term missions programs and hope that some of these individuals will become career missionaries.
