At FBC, we care about your personal issues and needs. We would love to lift these needs up to God with you.

PRAYER REQUESTS — week of July 25, 2010

FBC: Pray that we remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12).

Nate & Jenn Lienau: Praise that Jenn is doing well after the biopsy of a brain lesion at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago last Monday. Pray for a good report and complete healing. They receive the results on Friday.

Hank & Carol Stone: Pray for Carol and her family following the loss of her sister. Pray also for their children, Cal and Jane, both of whom have health issues. Pray for Jane as she decides whether to make the trip for the funeral on Friday.

John Malm: Pray for Bobby, a co-worker, who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. Pray for complete healing as Bobby undergoes radiation and chemo for the next six months. He is a believer.

Greg & Carlene Seghers: Praise for God’s provision of their full monthly support this month! Pray that God continues to provide for their ministry. Continue to pray for Barb Hugo and her family (missionaries) as they begin a course of treatment for breast cancer. Pray also for the Segher’s as they begin a month of hosting short-term missions teams. Pray for the teams for God to prepare each member’s heart and the hearts of the people to whom they will be ministering. Pray for safety in travel and health throughout the time the teams are in South Africa.

Luke Heaton: Pray that the job he now has through a temp agency will turn into a full-time position. Pray also for his daughter.

Ken & Shirley Montavon: Pray for Jean, Paul and Judy (their friends) who are very ill.

Frost Family: Praise for the recovery that granddaughter, Ivy, has made since the accident in May. Pray for her and her family as they travel to Kentucky for a family camping trip. Pray her rehab continues to go smoothly.

Linda Campbell: Pray for her husband, Bob, who is undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Pray the chemo slows the growth of the cancer.

Cathy & Jerry Copeland: Pray that their son, Tim (just out of de-tox for heroine addiction), will find the right out-patient program, as well as a job. Pray that he will lean solely on God, and that he find godly friends.

Ronda Floyd: Pray for her sister, Marty, who is battling cancer. Also for Barb, a mother with young children, who is also battling cancer.

Merry Hebble: Praise that her 6 treatments have been completed in 12 weeks. She has a few weeks without treatment and then will be checked. Praise for the prayers from her church family.

Bruce & Linda Thomas: Pray for their ministry in Poland and for opportunities to meet new people and share their faith. Pray that they quickly become fluent in the Polish language.

Jeff & Greta Simon: Praise that their furlough is going well. Pray for them as they begin their “summer tour” of supporting churches, from South Carolina to Oregon). Praise God for his faithfulness. Pray that they be blessed with a child in the very near future.

Jason & Toni Stuart: Praise the translation of the book of Hebrews has been completed and the first chapter of James also. Pray for continued progress in their endeavor to have the New Testament translation completed prior to their leaving on furlough. Pray for them as they make plans for an extended furlough where they can visit Toni’s family in Australia, Jason’s family in the States, as well as visit their many supporters in both countries.

Paul & Andrea Jensen: Praise that Amanda has accepted Christ as savior. Praise also that James has expressed a desire to become a follower of Christ. Pray for him that he come to know the saving love of Jesus. Pray also for Lucia and Laura.

Caleb & Linda Klontz: Praise for the birth of their new daughter, Elisabeth Joy, born Sunday, July 11, weighing 8 lbs 15 oz, 20.3 inches long. Pray for them as they work through the decision of changing the course of their ministry. Pray for them as they make plans to return to the States after the baby is born to help with the decision.
