At FBC, we care about your personal issues and needs. We would love to lift these needs up to God with you.
Click on the line below (Email Your Prayer Requests) to bring up a page allowing you to email a prayer request to the church. Upon receiving your request, the web coordinator will update the prayer request page to show your prayer request. Everyone can then pray for your individual need.

PRAYER REQUESTS — week of August 22, 2010
FBC: Pray for Jason Patton’s ministry and for safety as he travels back to Guatemala through some unsafe areas. Praise for the funds collected during his visit to FBC. Pray that as a church family we remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12).
Derek & Eva Fuller: Pray for Derek’s dad, who is currently hospitalized. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and complete healing.
Dava Lee: Please pray for her mother, Lois. She is undergoing testing to find out the reason for her intense hip pain. The signs point to cancer, although she will not find out for sure until next week. Pray that it is NOT cancer. Pray for my dad, who is very worried for her and experiencing Parkinsons-like symptoms himself.
Nancy Godfrey: Pray for Christian (17) from Bolivia who has left the Compassion program.
Judy Hoke: Pray for her granddaughter who is severely emotionally disturbed and is beginning an ED classroom this year.
Arlene Gudall: Praise that her daughter-in-law, Nikki, was seen by her cancer doctor last week and the tumor markers have continued to go down. Pray for complete healing.
Sarah Mikan: Pray for her and all teachers and students beginning school this week. Pray for reliance on the Holy Spirit and endurance and the Gospel being shared and for joy.
Del Lawson: Praise he was able to worship at FBC for the first time since 2002.
Margie Decker: Pray for comfort for Margie in the recent loss of her mom. Pray that Margie be a Godly witness to her family.
Sandy Hoffman: Pray for her friend in California who has cancer throughout her body and recently fell, breaking her arm. Pray for strength to endure the pain.
Teresa Holtz: Pray for strength and peace during this first week of school. Give her comfort for the stress of being 8 months into a difficult pregnancy and having to watch 2 small children at home while the others are in school.
John Malm: Pray for co-worker, Bobby, who has stage 4 cancer. Pray he is able to begin radiation treatment soon. Pray also for his sister-in-law’s father, Dale. Dale is having surgery to remove a cancerous kidney.
John Peters: Pray for daughter, Amy and her husband, Phil, as they are contemplating divorce. Pray also for friends, Todd and Julie, as they have split up, but are in counseling at their church in Rockford.
Nate & Jenn Lienau: Pray for God’s peace, comfort and wisdom as they begin treatment for Jenn’s brain tumor. Pray for complete healing.
Keith & Nancy Mauch: Praise that nephew, GW, does not need to undergo a bone-marrow transplant. Continue to pray for him and for his blood counts to increase so that he can to take his chemo treatments. He begins full-body radiation next week. Pray also he can return to school as soon as possible.
Cathy Copeland: Pray for Adam and Tim. Both have trouble with the law and have strayed from their faith.
Sylvia Bray: Pray for Mary Ellen’s teaching position in Minneapolis. Pray for God’s leading and strength for each member of their family.
Linda Campbell: Continue to pray for her husband, Bob, who is undergoing chemo treatments for cancer. Pray the chemo slows the growth of the cancer.
Ronda Floyd: Pray for her sister, Marty, who is battling cancer. She is not doing well. Pray also for Barb who is battling cancer. Please pray for Ronda’s voice, back and rib pain.
Keenan Turner: Praise that he has arrived safely in China. Pray for him as he learns to adapt to a radically different culture. Pray for his safety and for boldness in sharing the Gospel. Pray that Anna’s visa will come through, and she soon will be able to join Keenan in this ministry.
Jason & Toni Stuart: Praise for the recent baptisms in the village – 29 of them! Praise also for the spontaneous communion service which happened with no prompting from Jason. Pray that the villagers who lead services and studies come prepared to do so. Pray that a teacher will step forward to continue the literacy program. Pray for them as they make plans for an extended furlough where they can visit Toni’s family in Australia, Jason’s family in the States, as well as visit their many supporters in both countries.
Caleb & Linda Klontz: Praise for travel safety as they are now back in the States for furlough. Pray for the ministry in Trieste to continue to grow and multiply.
Greg & Carlene Seghers: Continue to pray for Barb Hugo and her family (missionaries) as she has begun a course of treatment for breast cancer. Praise for the short-term missions team who shared at schools and children’s Bible clubs. Pray that the message they presented about God’s love and His desire that all be saved by trusting Jesus stirs people to seek Christ.
Mark & Diane Vanderkooi: Pray for health and no emergencies as they enter the rainy season. Cars are not drivable due to the muddy and washed-out roads and air travel is unreliable due to the weather.
Jeff & Greta Simon: Praise that their furlough is going well. Pray for them as they begin their “summer tour” of supporting churches, from South Carolina to Oregon). Praise God for his faithfulness. Pray that they be blessed with a child in the very near future.
