Missions
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20
We at FBC have hearts that ache for the lost in our community and the world. We strive to recruit, train and send out many of our members as missionaries, church planters and church workers all over the world, as well as sending our people to pursue short-term missions service in various countries. Our short-term missions trips have seen people ranging in age from junior high to 80+ years old serving God in such countries as Northern Ireland, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Russia, South Africa, Malawi, Dominican Republic and Turkey. We’ve also sent teams to areas in the United States such as Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama and Pennsylvania.
“Come and follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” – Matthew 4:19
We support, financially and in prayer, a number of long-term missionaries in the United States and around the world.
